On May 21 and 22, once again on the basis of Petrozavodsk State University, Mission of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in the scientific and technical sphere held the final event of the competition "UMNIK"

The competitive selection started on March 23 and by the time of the semifinals (12-15 May) it was dealing with 148 applications, 58 of which received the right to participate in the finals. Such a large number of applications was observed for the first time, and the panel of judges, due to the large number of projects, were to work hard. It is worth noting the high quality of the projects presented, marked by all the members of the jury.

The Expert Council of the contest said that this year the quality of presentations has changed significantly. They have become more visual, and more informative.
Head of the Mission of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in the scientific and technical sphere in Karelia professor I.Shegelman thanked the contestants for the serious work and the experts for patient and objective discussion of issues related to the project participants.

T.Volkova, director of the Institute of High Biomedical Technologies of PetrSU, deputy chairman of the "UMNIK" jury expressed the hope that those who did not win, will take part in the competition next year, recommended competitors preparing for the defence of the projects to attend K.Gostev’s and A.Shtykov’s consultations.
