PetrSU’s applied research project "Study of the disintegration of solid rock in order to reduce energy consumption and produce additional products in the processing and enrichment of ore and technogenic raw materials" was awarded a gold medal and diploma of the International Technical Fair held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria).

The project manager is Professor, Ilya Shegelman, Dr. Sci. At the fair, the scientific team of the project was presented by the faculty of mining and geology: Vladimir Aminov, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sci.; and Elena Kameneva, Associate Professor, Cand. Sci.

A significant number of technical and technological solutions derived from the project are protected by patents for inventions and utility models at Rospatent.
