This autumn, the rector of PetrSU A.Voronin and CEO of "Scientific-Production Association Digital Television Systems" A.Gusev signed an agreement on cooperation in education, research, experimental design, innovation, and technological spheres. The contract is already being successfully implemented – in September, Bachelors of Physics and Technology of PetrSU went on an internship at DTS.

During an internship in the town of Gusev (Kaliningrad region) in "Digital Television Systems", Petrozavodsk State University students got acquainted with the production base of the plant, examined the assembly cycle of products from unpacking circuit boards to the packaging of the finished product. Before the practice on shop floors, there was a briefing on health and safety issues. The trainees attended lectures, during which they not only got acquainted with the production process of the enterprise, but also briefly examined its planning, quality management system of production, safety measures when working with products, launching new products, monitoring semi-finished products in the production process, in-circuit testing of circuit boards.

The main objective of the internship was to apply knowledge and skills in the formation of skills in the workplace. The students were sent to the testing department responsible for organization and automation of testing processes, i.e. products are tested not only with technical tools but also by software. Students obtained skills soldering of radio elements in different ways and with different tools, as well as of programming of new software, and testing of the company product.
