Project “+500 Donors” implemented by the students of Petrozavodsk State University jointly with the students of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, won the in nomination of “Local Community” in the contest of socially oriented projects held by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.

The project is aimed at broadening potential marrow donor base.

Altogether, 55 projects took part in the contest and competed in four nominations: “Local Community”, “University Community”, “Professional Fulfillment” and “The Event of the Year”. The “Local Community” nomination had the most intense competition with 23 projects nominated and just 3 of them declared the winners, including PetrSU project.

Let us recall that previously another project group of PetrSU (the specialist of the Student Business Incubator Ksenia Klochkova, the engineer of the Center for Shared Use of Scientific Equipment Olga Shliburite, the engineer of the Laboratory of Prototyping Samples and Device Cases Kristina Martsinkevich and the lead engineer of the Student Business Incubator Polina Voronina) has become the winner of the contest with the project “Interfaculty League of PetrSU” aimed at teaching creative, industrious students the basics of social oriented project development, fundraising, the particularities of the methods of rendering social services with consequent development of their own projects, their integration into youth community and implementation in the Republic of Karelia.
