In the course of the MEMS-Forum, held in Kursk, joint delegation of Petrozavodsk State University and GS Nanotech represented by the Deputy Head of the Directorate for Innovation and Production of PetrSU Aleksei Shtykov and the lead marketing and analytics specialist Sergei Beliakov presented the project of inertial navigation module “GS IMU”.

In the course of the MEMS-Forum, held in Kursk, joint delegation of Petrozavodsk State University and GS Nanotech represented by the Deputy Head of the Directorate for Innovation and Production of PetrSU Aleksei Shtykov and the lead marketing and analytics specialist Sergei Beliakov presented the project of inertial navigation module “GS IMU”.

The joint report PetrSU and GS Nanotech covered the results of development of autonomous self-calibrated inertial measurement system on the basis of microelectromechanical systems, implemented in the framework of PetrSU project “Development of New High-Precision Local Positioning System with RealTrac Technology”.

Inertial navigation module “GS IMU” is designed for autonomous positioning and orientation of moving objects, as well as for defining motion parameters of objects (speed, velocity) and the parameters required for object stabilization and automated movement control.

The module has several inertial sensors located with a view to mutually compensate measurement errors, increase the precision of measurements, and reduce noise level. In order to complete these tasks, the developers used the algorithms of integrating information from the sensors and the algorithms of self-calibration of the inertial module when it actually runs.

In the framework of the Forum the delegation held negotiations on possible integration of the technologies, as well as development of joint navigation wireless systems, with the representatives of AO “GIROOPTIKA”, AO “ZNTTS”, OOO “Sovtest ATE”, and memsfab GmbH (Germany).
