The Engineering Center of PetrSU Took Part in the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016

Yekaterinburg hosted the 7th International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016.

Yekaterinburg hosted the 7th International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016.

This year the Trade Fair was attended by representatives from more than 95 countries, so two thirds of the exposition showcased the products of foreign manufacturers. Over 100 company executives took part in the business program on behalf of India, which was the Partner Country of INNOPROM-2016. Chinese delegation had more than 3 thousand people. Italian exposition was represented by 18 companies. The Fair was also attended by large delegations from Japan, Germany, the USA and other countries.

International companies see INNOPROM as the main business event and consider it to be the entry point for Russian market and the best venue to present their innovations in industry. Over 600 largest foreign and Russian companies presented their technology innovations; among them were Fanuc, Kuka, DuPont, Mitsubishi Electric, Cisco Systems, PTC, General Electric, Schneider Electric, HIWIN, DB Shenkner, Siempelkamp, Rostech, Schwabe, Sinara Group, GK Renova and others. As is customary the world leaders have presented their innovations, such as the cutting edge technology developed jointly by Fanuc and Cisco – technologically safe industrial network that unites all types of equipment together, as well as the Kuka-Mecanum mobile robotized system that considerably increases productivity.

Six specialized exhibitions of INNOPROM-2016 showcased innovations in the main industries and provided access to new clients across the full range of industries:

  • Material processing technologies and equipment
  • Industrial automation
  • Urban technologies
  • Energy technologies
  • Mechanic engineering
  • Production of components for engineering industries.

The Engineering Center of PetrSU became a participant of the Mechanic engineering exhibition.

The International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016 became the place for the meeting of the Council on Engineering and Industrial Design of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Gleb Nikitin. Valery Gostev, the divisional manager for coordination of innovation technology centers and small innovation enterprises of the Directorate for Innovation and Production and the coordinator for industrial object location technology, took part in the meeting.

Among the participants of the discussion were the Director of the Division of Tool-Making and Investment Machine-Building of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Mikhail Ivanov, the Director-General of Russian Technology Agency Vladimir Pastukhov, and the representatives of the Advanced Research Foundation, research centers and universities.

At the meeting it was noted that since 2013 the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with other Federal government agencies and Institutes for development have been working on creation of favorable conditions for accelerated development of engineering in Russia. One of the key priorities is providing development of computer engineering. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with the Ministry Communications and Mass Media have initiated a project under the subprogram “Development of National Engineering Software” that will combine a complex of measures aimed at creation and development of innovative and strong market of engineering software in Russia, as well as provide support for national developers.
