PetrSU Rector A.V. Voronin Met with Representatives of German Business and Science
The purpose of the meeting was to shape the cooperation between researchers and business communities of the two countries.
Among the participants of the meeting were the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of PetrSU, M.S. Gvozdeva, the Deputy Director of the Hahn-Schickard Institute Axel Sikora, the Director of the Memsfab Company Thieme Torsten, representatives of the Regional Integrated Center – the Republic of Karelia, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and the GS Nanotech (the Kaliningrad Region).
“This is my first visit to Petrozavodsk University and I was glad to see that you have high technical skills. I am looking for partners in Russia, and it’s crucial that they have the technical competencies in order to develop joint projects, so that Russian citizens could come to Germany and do business there, while we could successfully run business in Russia, as there is an unlimited potential for collaboration,” said Thieme Torsten, the Director of the Memsfab company.
“It is essential to have reliable partners, who are the leaders in innovations. I hope that our joint projects will be successful,” noted A.V. Voronin at the end of the meeting.
The meeting was part of the program of events arranged and organized by the Regional Integrated Center – the Republic of Karelia.
