President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin chaired the field meeting of ASI (Agency for Strategic Initiatives) Supervisory board, which took place in Petrozavodsk State University, a flagship university of the Republic of Karelia.

In his speech the President mentioned a number of concrete areas of ASI activities.  One of them is enhancing the prestige of the working professions and engineer training, first of all in the regional universities. As an example, the president sited Petrozavodsk State University. “The university rector showed me how this activity is developing in different directions. He seems to have a good case. The students together with their mentors achieve quite significant and interesting results”, said the President.
