PetrSU Continues to Develop Cooperation with China
Representatives of Petrozavodsk State University, Marina Gvozdeva (the Vice-Rector for International Affairs), Olga Derbeneva (the Head of the Department of Innovation and Production) and the employees of the innovative enterprises of PetrSU, welcomed a delegation from the Leader International Innovation Center of the People's Republic of China. The delegation was headed by Mr. Zhang Chuhang, the chairman of the Chinese-Russian Young Entrepreneurs Association, the president of the Leader Center.
The Center supports business projects and helps Russian companies enter the Chinese market. With the assistance of the Center, more than 20 companies have been opened in the Russian-Chinese Technopark, including RUSAGRO, Leader Group, KETCH UP restaurant, Yandex and others. The Leader Center annually organizes start-up competitions in China.
The Vice-Rector reminded that the Flagship University of Karelia is developing cooperation with Chinese partners within the framework of Memorandums of Understanding and personal exchange with Fuzhou University and the University of Forestry and Agriculture of Fujian Province and Anhui State Pedagogical University.
“Among the first results of cooperation, it can be noted that 4 students from Karelia have received scholarships and are studying the Chinese language at Fuzhou University for the 2018-2019 academic year. Next year, we are expecting the first graduation of the program "Double Diploma" with Anhui Pedagogical University. The university is open to cooperation in various fields: educational, cultural, innovative, clarified the Vice-Rector.
Mr. Zhang Chuhang thanked for the opportunity to visit the university and get acquainted with its innovative activities. “I’m sure we will be able to find common areas of mutual interest for cooperation,” he said.
