PetrSU Students Look for New Business Solutions for Companies
The project BRIDGE – Barents Region Initiative for Developing Growth and Employability started another session. It will be held online.
The participants of the sessions are students of Petrozavodsk State University, ITMO University (Saint Petersburg), the Arctic University of Norway (Tromso), and Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
The participating students major in various fields: IT, SMM, Big Data, Economics, and History of the Countries of Northern Europe. Russian universities involve 26 students, some of whom have taken part in the BRIDGE sessions before. The students will have almost two months to work on a case, as the final attestation will take place in the middle of May.
The current session that started in the middle of March is the third. In 2018 students worked with cases provided by Finnish entrepreneurs, and last year Norwegian business representatives commissioned them. In 2020 Murmansk companies, mainly representatives of service and entertainment industry, tourism and additional education, suggested their cases. Among the commissioners is the Murmansk regional office of the Russian Engineering Union.
The organizers are convinced that today, as the business has come to a standstill and all operations are put on hold, it is the right time to focus on the prospects. The cases offered to students aim to solve strategic issues such as creating marketing plans, brand building in social networks, developing design and concepts, and of course looking for new platforms and forms of interactions with clients.
