It consisted of heads of departments of economic, industrial and commercial enterprises and organizations: Assistant to the Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Belarusian part of the working group on the development of cooperation between the republics Michael Klimovtsov, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies Gadad Galimov, adviser of the embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg Sergei Misuragin, chief of the neighboring countries department of "Promagroleasing" Oleg Vodchits, CEO of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce Dmitry Sergeyenko.

Getting to know the university began in the Innovation and Technology Park of PetrSU, where the head of innovation and production O. Derbeneva spoke about the strategy of innovative development of PetrSU, its educational and academic resources, international cooperation federal and international projects and programs implemented in PetrSU, as well as the prospects for the development of the university and the project "Formation of the infrastructure of innovation and technological PetrSU campus as a model of balanced development of knowledge-based industries and the unique socio-cultural and natural environment of the Republic of Karelia."

The guests showed interest in cooperation between innovation centers and enterprises of PetrSU with Finnish companies in the field of information technology, with Russian development institutions, such as "Skolkovo", Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative entrepreneurship in science and technology, with the State Corporation "Rosatom" and "Rusnano".

The meeting touched upon the development prospects for exchange program between PetrSU and universities in the Republic of Belarus, the promotion of co-operation of Support Center for Technology and Innovation, led by Professor I. Shegelman, with Belarusian enterprises of machine-building, transport and forestry sectors.

The guests got acquainted with the activities of the University Laboratory of mobile and wireless technologies, the Student Business Incubator and developments of the Student Design Bureau. The heads of innovative energy-saving building construction centers, cage culture, electronics element base and networking technologies talked about innovation and industrial cooperation projects and small innovative companies with university Karelian and Russian enterprises. Representatives of the International Center “PONSSE” demonstrated PetrSU ‘s innovations in the field of forestry machinery. In the Laboratory of new methods of physiological studies, there were presented developments in the field of early diagnosis and rehabilitation of the nervous system diseases. 

Following the meeting with the representatives of Petrozavodsk State University, the members of the Belarusian delegation expressed the desire to start cooperation in the field of exchange programs for students and teachers, as well as academic and technical developments for the Belarusian enterprises.
